REDLIGHT, GREENLIGHT

Project Greenlight. This time, they're making a monster movie and I'm hooked. Not because of the horror movie, but, true to their marketing, because of the horror of MAKING the movie!

The director, John Gulager, is a train wreck. He can't express himself to the studio head. Procrastinates calling him for over a week. He won't direct actors in casting sessions. And he wants to cast only family and friends. And can't tell the creature guy how he sees the monsters.

WHO IS THIS RUBE! As a director, it really pisses me off that this idiot - no matter how talented he is with his reel - has a shot at the major leagues and he's acting like an insecure spoiled brat who doesn't want to work with anyone other than who he's worked with before. And the worst part? HE WON'T DEFEND HIS DECISION TO DO SO. They're just supposed to "trust him" because his family of actors are the greatest actors in the world.

You see the train on the track heading for the semi and are just waiting for it to derail.

UGH. What I could've done with that opportunity.
