THAT'S A WRAP
Well, the final day of filming for POTN has come and gone. What an experience. The production staff, cast & crew were not only professional (for an amateur production) but went the extra mile in 92 degree heat to put forth their best performances. I have been assured by producer and editor that I'll have a rough cut with which to give director's notes within a few days. I then have 2 weeks to review the episode and give my notes for final editing. I could do this again, for sure. TV style directing is real journeyman's work - a chance to focus solely on honing your directing skills and set management without the worry or hassle of production management. I highly recommend it!

I should have a rough cut done in a few days. Then, I have two weeks to give the producers Director's notes before the final cut gets finished. It should be released sometime later in the summer.

I have to tell you that it's down right fascinating how the HF crew is able to create an episodic television fan series. I'm really proud to have been able to bring this story - which I wrote 15 years ago during the first season of Star Trek The Next Generation - and get it "on film." And now, after a decade and a hald, it's finally out of my head.

I hope that when it's released you will enjoy it. It's the second episode of the 4th season.

I'll let you guys know when. Meantime, you can catch previous episodes at the Hidden Frontier website.

Up next? Well, I've been working on THE SMUGGLER, however, Universal Studios will be having a tour guide film festival this year and Michele wants to produce FROM THE EARTH TO NEVADA with me directing. I'm all for that. So I reckon I'm shifting gears for that right now ...
