INT. - I KNEW IT WAS COMING - DAY
And frankly, it's probably for the best. After nearly twenty years of writing together, my partner and I are pretty much parting ways, heading off in different directions. He wants to concentrate on being an author exclusively, and while I share that dream, I also wish to make movies.
He simply doesn't have the passion for it anymore since the experience is more frustration and dashed expectations than the glory of finishing a film and having it viewed.
The NFC fiasco pretty much did it for him. But I know this was a long time coming.
So, it's the UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY for me. I'll always be thankful to him for helping me develop my craft, but I agree, it's time to move on.
